Women from the Inside was a collaborative photographic project by Clara McSweeney (Project Coordinator), Clara Planelles (Photographer and Filmmaker) and Maria McSweeney (Photographer and Socially Engaged Artist), which explored what it means to be a woman living in the 21st century.
This collective collaborated with various women in Limerick City on diverse and topical issues around womanhood. Since the collective began in 2021 they created and exhibited two large bodies of work in various venues, hosted a collaborative printing workshop, and produced two video works and a zine. The collective was also awarded the Arts Council Agility Award three times from 2021 – 2023.
